Our Restaurant Customers

Since our very first harvests, Lydia’s Fields has supplied tomatoes, arugula, lettuce, basil and zucchini flowers to restaurants in the DC area that seek local, organically grown produce.

Meridian Pint was founded on the premise of environmental sustainability. Consequently, Chef David Shewmaker sources a large percentage of his seasonal menu from local and regional farms. The community-focused restaurant also maintains a strict focus on American craft beer, eliminating the impact of trans-Atlantic shipping and providing a locally based revenue stream. Chef David likes our arugula, basil, tomatoes and lettuce, and prepared a special dinner with 10 pounds of our zucchini flowers! Visit the restaurant’s website here.

Since its opening in October 2004 as what co-owners Jackie Greenbaum and Patrick Higgins say was the first independent contemporary American restaurant to arrive in Silver Spring in decades, Jackie’s has been a pioneer in bringing farm to table cuisine to the area. Its signature distinctive seasonal American cuisine, which they call “always fine yet always fun” got a local produce boost with our tomatoes last summer. Visit Jackie’s website here.
